Why not surprise your kids after school with this fun treat!

QUORN TEENIE CHIK'N BURGERS WITH ASIAN KETCHUP

Healthy Chef Lilia’s cost-cutting tip: There is no need to keep fresh, chopped meat on hand for these tasty treats!  Just have a package of Quorn Chik'n Nuggets in your freezer & you can whip these up anytime!  No waste, no mess, no fuss!

Ingredients-

Prep time- 10 minutes
Cook time (nuggets)- 15 minutes
Makes about 2 servings (3 Teenie Burgers per serving)

Asian Ketchup:

2 Tbsp. ketchup
2 Tbsp. hoisin sauce**
1 tsp. less sodium soy sauce

Nuggets

6 Quorn™ Chik'n Nuggets, cooked as per pkg. directions
4-6 slices thin, whole grain bread, cut into 2-inch crllces (12 circles total)

6 slices cherry tomato

Instructions-

1) Place ketchup, hoisin sause & soy sauce in a small bowl.  Stir well to combine.
2) For each sandwich burger, spread about 1/4 teaspoon of the ketchup mixture onto 1 bread circle.  Top with 1 cooked Nugget, another small dollop of the ketchup mixture & one piece of tomato. Cover each with a second bread circle.

* Use a cookie cutter to cut out the bread circles.  For more fun, use 2-inch star (or other shaped) cutters.

* Any remaining Asian Ketchup may be kept, covered & refrigerated for several weeks.

* Serve these adorable little burgers with mini dill pickles.

** Hoisin sauce can be found in the Asian food section of most supermarkets & specialty food stores.
