Quorn Turky in Roasting Bag

Try this delicious, fool-proof method for cooking the Quorn Meatless Turk'y Roast in a roasting bag for the holidays!

Ingredients

Method

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees  F.  In a small cup, mix 1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. of dried herbs (rosemary, freshly ground pepper, thyme, sage, other). Remove roast from outer box and inner tray and soak Roast in bowl of warm water for 1-2 minutes. Carefully cut off the end clips and remove the plastic film around Roast; brush Roast with oil and herb mixture. Place Roast in roasting bag and tie bag. Make several slits in the bag to vent. Place on baking tray and place on middle shelf. Bake 35 minutes, turn roast over, then bake for additional 35 minutes until the roast is nicely browned. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving. To cook using a defrosted roast, follow the above instructions and reduce cooking time by 10 minutes. Simply remove packaging & cook as follows: For best results, cook in the oven.

Defrosted:  oven - 30 mins. Defrost Quorn roast in refrigerator overnight prior to cooking. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Carefully pierce film around Roast 3-4 times - do not remove the film. Place Roast on cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes, until hot throughout and golden brown. Let Roast stand for 5 minutes before carefully removing the outer film, caution end clips will be hot. Serve immediately.

Frozen:  oven - 50 mins. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Carefully pierce film around roast 3-4 times - do not remove the film. Place roast on cookie sheet and bake for about 50 minutes, until hot throughout and golden brown. Let roast stand for 5 minutes before carefully removing the outer film, caution end clips will be hot. Serve immediately. Note: ovens vary. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Heating times are approximate. Always cook before eating. Storage instructions: keep frozen - Do not refreeze once thawed. Once thawed cook within 24 hours and, after cooking, Quorn turk'y roast will keep for up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
