Why is reducing meat important to you?
As an NFL tight end, I eat a lot of red meat. Red meats can be high in saturated fats and cholesterol, and as I have evolved as a professional athlete, I am thinking more and more about what I put in my body. I am always going to be a meat eater, but it is important to me to mix in alternative options like Quorn that are still packed with protein and fuel me up!
Do you like to cook, or do you usually eat ready-made meals? With that in mind, what is your “specialty” meal to cook and how would you integrate Quorn?
I try to cook. I am not bad on the grill! For me, this offseason I have been eating an insane amount of the Meatless Chicken Patties. They’re addicting.
What is something that surprised you about Quorn when you first tried it?
I honestly couldn’t believe how amazing the taste was. There is a misconception about all meat alternatives that they simply don’t taste good, and with Quorn, that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
